Radhikka Madan Discusses Her Role in Sarfira
Mumbai, July 12: As the film Sarfira, featuring Akshay Kumar, marks its one-year anniversary since release, actress Radhikka Madan opened up about the complexities of portraying her character, Rani.
Reflecting on the past year, she remarked, "Time has flown by so quickly since Sarfira's release; it feels like we were just filming yesterday! Rani has been one of the most demanding roles I've taken on."
In her role as Akshay’s on-screen spouse, Radhikka embraced the character of a Maharashtrian woman, effectively embodying the essence of Marathi culture.
“Being a Delhi native, I've pushed myself to master various dialects with each project, from the accent of Uttar Pradesh to Jaipuri, and now Marathi. It was a thrilling challenge. Since many locals in Mumbai converse in Marathi, I immersed myself in the community to grasp the language's authenticity and refine my skills,” Radhikka explained.
She expressed her enthusiasm about collaborating with esteemed personalities like Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and producer Vikram Malhotra.
“Working with him on Sarfira has made me eager for our upcoming project, Subedaar,” she added.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, a National Award winner, Sarfira presents an engaging narrative set against the backdrop of India's flourishing startup scene and aviation sector.
Next, Radhikka will appear in "Subedaar,” alongside Anil Kapoor. This film, set in the heart of India, explores the challenging transition of Subedaar Arjun Maurya (played by Anil Kapoor) as he navigates civilian life.
On the OTT platform, she was featured in “Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo,” directed by Homi Adajania, which includes a talented cast such as Dimple Kapadia, Isha Talwar, Angira Dhar, Deepak Dobriyal, Monica Dogra, and Naseeruddin Shah.
